Moppit grew up in the Shire, in a nice little hole of ordinary sorts. As a younger hobbit he spent much of his time adventuring about the shire and getting up to all sorts of mischief. It was in these most innocent of days that he stumbled upon an abandoned Elf camp, with rags and sleeping-bags left all about. It was there that Moppit, inquisitive as any young Hobbit, found his first gold coin lying among the smoldering fire. Since that day Moppit has devoted his life to fine food, good company, and the quest for Gold.
