Being the age of 51 and has the Experience of many battles, makes this huge man, not only a strong and cabable Warrior, but also a very cabable Strategist, having lead Men on the field of battle since his younger years. 

 

However he appears young (28) compared to his Age, as he is of Dunedain descent, still he does not know of his own origin as his mother never spoke of his father after she moved them both back to Gondor, never known his father, just a few memories here and there, but nothing sicnificant that would tell him his Father was a Dunedain, nor has his mother spoken of her own Heritage.. 

 

After moving to Gondor when his Father disappeared, his mother was alone in raising him teaching him about Honor and Pride, she knew some swordsmanship and taught him what she knew and he would later join the Gondorian Military becoming a Captain at the Age of 22 after having been a Sergeant since he was 18 and fought well and gained much prestige with his then Captain and Friend,  the Captain later died in a skirmish and as the troops started to panic, he took control of the regiment, overcoming the trouble and won the Battle. 

 

Having won the Battle, he was later recommended for the Position of his Former Captain and Friend who had died Honorably in combat, he accepted the new Rank he was presented and informed his Mother of his achiement which made her proud of her son, for reaching such a Position.
