| Outward Appearance | Faeithil is a man of Gondorian descent, if the old tales are to be believed one could say his family line could be traced all the way back to the forgotten Moon Wardens of Minas Ithil, before that great city fell to ruin.
Alas he has a rather rustic demeanor about him due to the fact that he spends most of his time in the wilds. He has a scar on his right cheek caused by an encounter with brigands long ago, athletic build dark hair and brown eyes. He keeps his trusty bow and usually wields dual axes or one of his swords for self defense plus a knife he keeps belted somewhere used for dressing wild game and skinning pelts.
Faeithil possesses an extensive knowledge of botany and the fauna of the lands which he has traveled. When given the chance he gathers texts pertaining to the lore and nature of various lands in Middle Earth and maps which he collects and keeps in his home he uses for reference before setting out. He has an average understanding of anatomy and the way of medical herbs and has read on various historical periods. His schooling consisted of general knowledge any boy his age would receive. As per his father’s education, he has a grasp on Sindarin although many terms and more esoteric texts elude his understanding. He is a talented sharpshooter with his bow, has a knack for setting traps and snares. He is also a skillful tracker and resourceful outdoorsman. Years of surviving in the wilds have honed his combat prowess.

Background
Faeithil is the son of Kerahar, a retired soldier from Gondor who settled in Breeland for a time after his many travels and would eventually marry a maiden from the lands of Evendim. Although his father was always cryptic about why he left his homeland of Gondor Faeithil’s family was finally settled in the Breelands after his father had decided to purchase some lands and start up a farm in that rustic lands. Wintercress farm was one of the most productive and rich farmsteads in all the land. Its soil was rich and the bounties one could reap from the land would ensure a stable and worry free lifestyle for the proprietors just as long as they worked the land diligently.
For many years Faeithil grew up in relative comfort and as he got older, he would eventually start accompanying his father on his frequent visits to Evendim. It was known that Kerahar and his family were staunch collaborators and supporters of the Rangers of the North. He would often council with them and deliver them any surplus crops in hopes of aiding their cause and probably out of loyalty to their lineage.
Eventually, when he came of age Faeithil was sent off to train with the Rangers of Evendim. There for many years he would hone his skills and would seldom come back home to visit his family’s farmstead. One particularly dire winter Faeithil had decided to journey back to his home. As he approached the farmstead which was beset by some unnatural fog, he was shocked to discover that it had been ravaged and utterly destroyed. The smell of burnt wood and flesh was overwhelming and an unnatural chill came upon him. He eventually came across a lone figure looming over the charred remains of his home and loved ones, the shadowy figure draped in blackness but monstrous in its constitution and wielding a massive axe, shot a piercing gaze into Faeithil’s soul with glowing red eyes that peered through it’s sinister horned helm. Before he could reach for his bow the demonic figure had disappeared, enveloped and carried away by the same foreboding fog that concealed his passing.
And there after the grieving and putting his family to rest, Faeithil spent the next day rummaging through what was left of his farmstead until he came across a hidden latch door in the rubble and found an alcove where his father had apparently kept many artifacts from his past life.
In his father’s writings Faeithil learned of his lineage and how throughout the generations the great men of his line were continuously beset by this baleful entity, although at times it would disappear altogether from the annals of history but would ultimately come back in times of turmoil slaying many in its wake and often ravaging the countryside but staying hidden from the powers of the land. In it’s dark history it has been told to be one of the dark foes who led the final assault on Minas Ithil which ultimately lead to it’s fall to ruin, and consequently was charged by it’s masters to hunt down any of the remaining Moon Wardens and all of their kin.
Hereafter In these troubling days Faethil would set off into Middle Earth to assist the free peoples during the times of turmoil and somehow avenge his father and forefathers finally putting an end to this wicked curse once and for all.
