Background
From Lyndleby
Sprit loves the river and fishing, and flirting with the ladies, the latter resulted in his needing to leave Lyndleby, and he wandered south on the Anduin. He drifted far down the river and stayed briefly at Lothlorien, then fishing and trading with the Rohirrim (Roundear Big-Folk) as he continued south, determined now to see where the River goes.
His boat was damaged avoiding the Falls of Rauros. He was stranded there until some hunters come by and helped him to Walstow, where he stayed for a bit until he acquired horse. He continued south along the Entwash to regain the Anduin. His wish to find the end of the River had became a quest.
Once past the falls at Cair Andros, he stayed for a while at Crithost and then at Minas Tirith, where he earned his keep as a lutist to augment his income from fishing and trading with the Roundears. He was a bit of a curiosity amongst these folk, but was able to get along.
Soon, however, his quest called to him again, and at Pelargir he traded his horse for passage to the Cape of Belfalas, where he was told the River ends at the sea. He couldn't fully comprehend what the sea was until he saw it. Awestruck, he stayed at the Cape for a while and then wandered to Dol Amroth, continuing his life as lutist and fisherman. The Sea had, for a time, supplanted the River in his heart.
Soon, he found the opportunity to join the crew of a trading ship (House of the Golden Crescent) sailing between ports from Umbar to Lindon. He was a cabin boy, cook, and lutist, and was favored by Captain Khurhad.
Two years of adventurous sailing passed, and he longed to reconnect with hobbit-folk. Although the way back to Lyndleby was practically impossible, the trip to Buckland was not, and he joined the crew of a smaller coaster on a hushed mission to Tinnidur up the Brandywine. He bade his farewell to his sea mates and stayed for a while at Buckland, then wandered the Shire and Yondershire.
He still stays close to water, which is home to him. Most often he's found these days at some Hobbit tavern, playing music for room and board. He still flirts with the ladies, which eventually results in his moving along for a while.
He is particularly fond of Ivy Tunnelly (Inn League Barmaid), and often passes through Michel Delving to see her and be rejected. To have a reason to visit, he has taken up making deliveries around the Shires for the Inn League.
