| Outward Appearance | Arandil Túrion bears the stature of the mighty elves of old, tall and strong, yet he walks lightly with graceful steps. Dark is his hair that drapes on his shoulders and his fair face carry a gentle and dignified expression, his timeless eyes are like the colour of the sky on a cloudy day, gazing with the blazing light of Aman behind them. His voice is clear and deep as the sound of waves crashing upon rocky shores.
Though his armour appears elegant and undoubtedly crafted by the mastery of skilled hands, it bears signs of age as if repaired many times over in the past, giving the impression that it belongs to an era long since passed. Upon his shoulders hangs a cloak that once was probably a vibrant blue but now seems slightly worn and faded, like that of a person who spends most days on the road. At his side there is a knightly sword; its steel is bright, and the hilt of the blade is adorned with intricate designs. His every movement betrays the mastery of the tool he carries.

Background
Among those who still remember the Elder Days, Arandil is known as one of the Calaquendi, those of the wise and mighty Eldar that returned from the blessed shores of Valinor in exile. He was among the host of Finarfin during the journey back to Middle-earth, and he followed the banner of Finrod Felagund in Beleriand. He was a Knight of Nargothrond, and when the Fathers of Men came to their lands, he befriended them and along with many of his kin taught them the crafts and the wisdom of the Elvenkind.

He fought during the endless conflicts of the First Age and witnessed the destruction of Beleriand. For a time he sought refuge in the Isle of Balar and then came to dwell in Forlindon where High-King Gil-Galad ruled the remainder of his kin. Towards the end of the Second Age, after the Last Alliance, he traveled to Imladris and settled there ever since. Yet the memories of the days of strife and grief never really left his thoughts and so he traveled often between the last remaining elvendoms on Middle-earth, to hunt down the creatures born of darkness and malice wherever he could find their trail, hoping one day to see the world rid of their kind and so he can finally lay down his sword to rest and sail West.
