Finyo appears as reasonably tall (7'1"), strongly built Noldo. His long black hair is rarely braided; deep grey eyes have a bright gleam to them, but do not give away much of his character. His features are angular, his nose perhaps a little large, his brows level.

He wears whatever he chooses, though he rarely chooses robes. Grey, brown and white seem his preferred colours.

The usual impression he gives is of a self-contained and clever (hence his epesse of 'Finyo') individual, who  has learned to control whatever moods he has. 

He is often distant in manner, yet there can be a supportive warmth about him at times.
