Outward Appearance

Fritigern is a man well built. Has broad shoulders and massive legs, but he is of medium height.  He wears his long blonde hair half tied in a pony-tail. Has an imposing beard, just like his father and brother.

The first thing that one observes when looking at Fritigern is the red scar which traverses his right cheek, from above the bow, across the eye and ending near the nose.

An eye-patch hides his sightless right eye.

He is seen usually in a pair of shabby clothes: a tunic and pants, or clad in leather garments.
When he rides into battle he's dressed in chainmail - his father's old armor.

Background

Fritigern is a stern and quiet man. He doesn't enjoy talking much, but when he does he usually sticks to the point. Some would say he has no sense of humour.

He is the younger son of Wealda, a man of Rohan ((specifically from a village in the Westfold) who came some 20 years ago to Combe, where he settled with his wife and sons.

Fritigern is the family's black sheep. Being raised in the spartan ways of his father, but lacking his paternal love he developed what some would call an inclination towards violence. Since childhood, he was one of those troublemakers that live in every village since the beginning of time. His stubornness and determination earned him the nickname "the Boar".

There are stories about his deeds in and around Combe. Some say he has friends among the bandits that plague the lands, others say he was involved not just once in brawls between the Blackwolds and the ruffians who came from the South, switching sides according to his own hidden interests.

Fritigern has no pity, nor remorse, and is eager to pay an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, in kindness and in malevolence. He still has a code of honor to which he abides. A good blacksmith, he learned the ways of the hammer and anvil under his father's supervision in Combe.
