Outward Appearance

Fairn has a dark complexion which makes his pale blue eyes stand out in contrast. His hair is dark but with brighter highlights during the summer season. He is of average hight and fit from years of manual labour as a fisherman of the Lake. He laughs easily and seems to be carefree, even when faced with problems like a dwindling purse and unemployment. He is well mannered and polite, something his mother takes great pride in.

Background

Fairns father ,Theorn, is a fisherman of the Lake and has his own boat. Already at a young age Fairn started to do various chores, mending nets and emptying buckets of fish-gut. As he grew up he started to dream of something better, to make a living as a travelling bard. When the daughter of a local merchant caught his eye things rapidly started to change. After a brief and passionate encounter , her father decided his daughter was not to marry a poor fisherman. With the help of his hired sword-hands, he ran Fairn out of town.

Fairn took it as a sign that it was time to do something with his life. He bought a horse with supplies, wrote his farewells to the family back in Lake-town, and started on a journey eastwards. Had he known how arduous the journey would be, he would never have left. When he reached the great forest of Mirkwood, he was lucky to get an escort of wood-elves , along the northern trail. But the Misty Mountains almost claimed his life. Trying to traverse the High Pass, in mid winter was a folly. Lost in a blizzard he managed to make it down the mountain, but still on the eastern side. He followed the Anduin south and it wasn’t until he tried the Red Horn pass, that he managed to make it across. The elves in Eregion was kind enough to help him and after a long journey through Trollshaws and the Lonelands, he finally reached Bree.
