Kementir
Kementir Nimedhel
| Name | Kementir |
|---|---|
| Occupation | Greenwood Scout |
| Age | An Elf of the Second Age |
| Race | Elf |
|---|---|
| Residence | Mostly traveler, has a house in Flathlorn Homesteads. |
| Kinship | Pan di Via |
| Outward Appearance | Kementir appears as a very thin and pale elf, almost ethereal some might say. He always seems as lost in thought, yet if addressed to he will reveal himself as a jolly good fellow who never refuses a laugh, a song or a story. When he's found far from elven lands he often wears comfortable and discrete garments made with leather, which serve him well in his long scouting errands. Most of the time he also wears a hood that covers his elven features and make him look like a Ranger on a mission. Otherwise when he is in Imladris or other elven lands he prefers to wear soft and elegant elven make clothes, like his Greenwood Hauberk he received as a gift by Thranduil centuries ago. |

Background
The Shire looks like a strange place for an elf to settle down...
Still for a nature loving elf, who likes good tilled earth, flowers and the joys of living near the never ending singing of a waterfall, the homesteads near Michel Delving make perfect sense.
From the outside it's very difficult not to notice his house, as not many hobbit caves have statues of Luthien, Gil-Galad and Celebrimbor on their courtyard.
All these features (and many more, like some ancient scrolls written in Quenya that are carfully kept in a chest inside the house) show clearly that Kementir is indeed an ancient elf, but he realizes more and more that the future of Middle Earth lies in the hands of the young races, men and hobbits, who have shown great courage and are able of great deeds, expecially when compared to the short life-span granted to them.
"Their will, their strength and prowess in battle, will be soon put to the greatest test, and it's the duty of all the Eldars, with their centuries long wisdom, to assist the younger races in the years to come.
For our time is ending and the Halls of Manwe await us beyond the sea...
...but not before the Shadow is thoroughly defeated.
May Elbereth Gilthoniel always shine upon the path of Middle Earth, may we all see a brighter day.
I want to look one more time at my beloved Taur-nu-Fuin, Eryn Galen, when it will be free of the darkness that gave her the foul name of Mirkwood.
Finally me and my newly found daughter Virtan will leave from Mithlond...
...to Valinor and eternal peace..."
