I hear her sound,
The gentle rustle of her hair;
The rubbing of her arms together,
Upraised, in praise of Manwe's kiss.
Her scent I adore, green and heady,
Brought forth from the land;
Her toes, burrowed in soil,
Hallowed by Yavanna's touch.

Lift them up higher
Drink to your family
And your friends in the Shire
Drink to the flowers
The birds in the trees
In the Green Dragon
Drink as much as you please!

Let's listen to music
It's time for some songs
Some tunes on the lute now
We can all dance along
Of such wonderful music
You never will tire
In the Green Dragon
We'll dance by the fire!
