Cloves' Diary - Eleventh of Wedmath

Another night in Thorin's Hall. Firefern tried to make us practice a new arrangement of "Four Pies" but something's not quite right yet. Someone is playing off-key! We have to practice some more before we can put that one on stage. Other than that, we played: The Friendly Woodtroll Over The Hills and Far Away (requested by a Dwarf) Always look on the bright side of life (requested by Chief Alariana) Enveloped by Tenderness We had counted on an Encore, so we had practiced "Concerning Hobbits" as well. But it seems like the dwarves and honourable Shirriffs aren't quite as familiar with general courtesies towards your hired musicians. There were other people climbing the stage as soon as we had played our last chord and trying to perform as well. Vunar is going to have to hire a bouncer next time or we won't play there again... We made another try later when it had calmed down but another band came up and started playing right into our music. Silkweed was ''livid''. Have put up the posters around Thorin's Hall now, in any case. We'll see if something happens.
