Mistakes

It should have come as no surprise that I would one day be cast out of the "family". But surprised I was, to find the doors of Bar-en-Acharn shut to me when I returned from a task back home. It was, I soon realized, a mistake to have trusted them. To have placed myself so close. I have always been alone, or with Thranduil or my daughter. Now I am alone again. Carandir and I know now to never place trust in those who seem friendly, for they are often not behind doors. I would rather trust Mai--Sauron with the Light of Valinor, for at least his intentions are clear.  I shall miss Applecider and Berry, my most favored Halflings. Perhaps I shall see you again on your way past my home.
