An Unexpected Market

Come one and all to this month’s Unexpected Market! This is a RP market event that will be a bit different than the usual Dwarven Caravan Markets that Durin’s Folk hosts. Once a month there will be an Unexpected Market in which the Dwarves of Durin’s Folk decide to host it in a surface-dwelling settlement without any prior warning to the local authorities. This market wouldn’t be unexpected if the local authorities knew what was coming and were able to prepare in advance for a rambunctious company of unruly Dwarves! So come and join the Dwarves of Durin's Folk as they travel to random surfacing-dwelling settlements across Middle-Earth in order to bring to them wealth and prosperity! And perhaps a healthy measure of mischief too!

Event details:

This Week’s RP Situation: The hobbit town of Nobottle has been afflicted with a tense political climate for several months now. A fierce debate about whether or not the Yondershire should remain within the bounds of the Shire has agitated the minds of the residents of Nobottle. And this political situation has far more nuance than anyone would never expect from hobbit politics. But as you might expect the political situation of a given area influences the economy of that given area, and this observation has attracted the attention of the ever conniving merchant Frimsi Gembeard. What he plans to do is unclear. But regardless there is a specific reason he chose Nobottle to be the first surface-dwelling settlement to host an Unexpected Market. Perhaps he wishes to sway the debate to make a decision that will financially benefit Durin’s Folk? Or perhaps he wishes to provoke something that will lower market prices in the area? Who knows!

OOC details:

A few OOC details to consider:

1) This RP event will take place during a POST-war timeline. So for the most part for this RP event we will be assuming a timeline that is up to date with what is going on in the game plot wise.

2) Anyone is allowed to attend as a vendor should he or she want to. And the exchange of in-game items as a vendor in the market is OPTIONAL. Though this is first and foremost a RP event, so if you aren't a RPer you probably would not enjoy attending.

3) If you need help getting to one of the markets when it is hosted in a higher level area, please contact one of the officers of Durin's Folk for help getting there.

4) All races are welcome!
