The Glorious Ride (Poem)

The battle draw near at last,
Our ferocious riders, mounting fast
Raising shields and spears, in chorus sing
We ride, we ride, for land and king!

From farm and fields, hills and halls,
The oath that bonds us, heralds it’s call
Raising arms in defiance, facing what death bring
We ride, we ride, to ruin of everything!

Crack goes the shield, and off we fall
Lifeless body on the ground, spirit in forefathers hall
We shout in glorious triumph, cries and sing
We ride, we ride, for eternal spring!

my own poor attempt at poetry.
