A stranger from the Far North had been roaming around the Sunlands. He would appear in towns with regularity, though never staying long. No one was even aware of him ever spending the night in any guesthouse or inn. The wanderer was an elderly man with a long white beard and wrinkled skin that first burned before it would acquire a tan. He was dressed at all times in robes and cloaks of a distinctive blue colour. She had first heard of him through the townsfolk of her home, who knew nothing about the man, no purpose, no place of residence, and certainly no name. Based on the meagre gossip the locals could come up with, the seemingly solitary character was dubbed "the Old Man of the Mountain".
