Through light of moon and star be seen,
the shine on metal helm and axes keen.
For sons are armed with mail and shield,
and weapons laden with runes they wield.
Farewell they say to kin and mansions grand,
if the Longbeards march to the Dark Lord's land.
Though foul orcs shall ever be our enduring foe,
dwarves of honour remember bonds of long ago.
For the elves of Eregion were as a worthy friend,
deserving not how their fair kingdom came to end.
And our own grievances are not yet forgiven too,
when dwarves returned not when our host withdrew.
Our gates closed and our heads were turned,
when old allies toiled and the shadow lurked.
Yet the dwarves of Durin's line are not afraid,
when called upon to have grievances repaid.
So with hosts of man and elf we shall go away,
and let all know that Longbeards joined the fray.
Through light of moon and star be seen,
The shine on metal helm and axes keen.
For dwarves are armed with mail and shield,
And weapons laden with runes they wield.
Farewell they say to kin and mansions grand,
when the Longbeards march to the dark lord's land.
With burdens heavy we shall make our mark
amidst the alliance of hosts to fight the dark.
The elves are led by King Gil-Galad of Noldor clan,
whose brave folk fought fierce since the war began.
The men are led by King Elendil the Tall of Númenor,
whose realm extend far and wide to even southern shore.
Victory and glory shall be our reward for our valour shown,
and we will not rest while evil sits on his blackened throne.
And all orcish host shall feel the wrath of our axes anew,
if they had forgotten all their brethren we already slew.
And when the malice of that dark land shall be no more,
we will know that the lands have peace outside our door.
Through light of moon and star be seen,
The shine on metal helm and axes keen.
For dwarves are armed with mail and shield,
And weapons laden with runes they wield.
Farewell they say to kin and mansions grand,
while Longbeards march to the dark lord's land.
