Distant thoughts

Sigh

Nyssa sat with her knees up to her chest, her fingers idly playing with the new necklace she had purchased herself. The sunset colors played wildly on her person, turning her eyes from blue to orange as she watched. She thought about him some more. He had her curious, he had her racking her brain for different reasons. She wouldn't say why, though. It had only been a day. How could this effect be had on her? She was a classy, smart, sophisticated woman; yet he made the impression on her that tended to stick!

She realized she was playing with the jewelry, shook her head and dropped it back around her chest.

'Come on Nyssa. Grow up.' She scolded herself, and stood. The rain was coming in from the night skies, and buried the sunset where it lay.
