Herdfolk, a farmer who left his small home farm to enroll himself in te service of the Eored. He is quite sure he would have been called any time now because he is fyrd, a non-professional warrior  and times are getting harder and enemy movement has been seen once more. He is not sure what will become of him but as he owns a sturdy steed and is capable with spear he reckons he would be most suitable as sperewigend ('spear warrior').
