Personal Patrol Log 1 - Townsend

Constable G. Townsend
Tuesday Evening to Wednesday Morning
Personal Patrol Log Entry 1
Little to No Activity

Today's patrol began rather slowly for Welstan and me. It was very overcast, and it rained off and on. The weather wasn't terrible, but my brother Rod wasn't kidding when he told me it has been a little bit stormy in Bree when he wrote to me in Kingsfell.

For several hours, Welstan and I walked without talking or being stopped, and rain kept pelting us off and on. I swear, my hat is going to shrink after this. Too bad I had it made in leather. Of course, we couldn't just walk like that and say nothing. I nudged him into visiting Rod, his wife (Welstan's sister), and my sister later today, which we're now going to do after I complete this. We're both going to bring them some potted flowers for the girls' garden they've been writing to me about.

We talked for a while, and then we were followed by a girl in the street. Anna, she said her name was. She seemed interested in our jobs and our lives, and seemed concerned about our love lives and any kind of past times and special activities we take. Of course, both of us only have room for the job, and each other. This wasn't the first time Welstan and I were accused of being lovers. Eh.

She seemed excited to follow us until we were off shift, and followed us until we got done. We didn't talk though. Hm. It's okay. More ale for Welstan and me!

Overall, today was extremely mellow. Nothing unusual transpired, and Welstan and I are both glad to be back in the field. This was a good day, in all senses. Now, time to visit the family.
