Mother and Daughter

They walked through Lorien in laughter and good cheer.

Her Father was away on a journey in which the child knew very little of.

But she did not worry as her Mother often made her feel light of heart.

She was merely six winters and anything that was said to her she'd believe.

Such is the innocence of a child.

Morgalleth had looked down at her child and smiled sincerely.

"Do you enjoy Lorien my child?"

Ella had nodded her head enthusiastically.

 Morgalleth was a beautiful maiden.

Tall and fair like many Elves.

She had a smile that would melt any heart.

Her Mother's golden hair was often tied into a neat braid.

Ella had gained her Mother's pale blue eyes and the grey hues from her Father.

Daughter and Mother continued to stand side by side.

"Ella there is something I desire to tell you."

Ella looked up at her Mother with curiosity.

Morgalleth's demeanor became that of a solemn nature.

"You are but a Lilly in a field of thorns, do not ever let the thorns come and overthrow you."

She hadn't expected her daughter to understand this yet.

But in time she would.

Young Ella looked up at her Mother with perplexion.

But on she went enjoying the only time she would see Lorien the fair.
