"The victim, a man in his early 20s named Gorlen, employed by the Bloody Dawn was stabbed in the back from behind while near the stable. The attack was interrupted by Dristin of Gondor, another sell-sword of the same company. The suspect was wounded in the stomach and last seen running north into town, wearing brown and was hooded. Neither witness could describe the man other than these facts, they did not get a good look at his face."

It is alleged by association with recent happenings, that this was likely another incident of which the Stone Quarter Bandits are a guilty party. The weapon used by the man was recovered on the scene by officer Jaspen Graves, and matches the stab wounds of another pair of victims with similar stories. This is all speculation, but highly plausible. A blood trail by the assailant was found, leading from the scene of the attack, up towards the Scholar's stair, where it appears to have subsided, leading us to believe the attacker wasn't critically wounded.
