Tales of the Mute - Warrior of Bree!

If my father saw me right now, I'm afraid he would murder the man who did it. I have not had such a big bruise since I fell off of my horse a few years ago. It takes up my entire right cheek, and it hurts so terribly.

Courting a Watcher, you'd think I'd have been smarter about that. Dumping your tankard of mead on a criminal's head is not the best way to go, especially when you are as tiny as me, and cannot use a weapon whatsoever. At least I was not arrested, I am sure that it would not have been good for Corrben when he saw me at the Jail, and all his friends would know he was courting a criminal now.

I know that I have written and thought awful things about Gorlen, but I am fairly certain he saved me today. Corrben will hate that, I bet. But he said awful things about me. He called me a little slut, and told Oldur that he was going after a poor girl like me because he could not get a good one. Rejection sure makes one bitter, it seems. He talked to me outside, but I do not think it helped any. He did apologize, and said he did not mean those things. I cannot believe him, I think he meant them with every fiber of his being.

The fight has left me with a rush still. A man who punches a woman in the face is cowardly and as that woman was saying, he is scum. But despite the bruises, and almost being kicked in the face also, it was rather nice to see so many people come to my aid. Even Gorlen's help was appreciated. This man named Torlach comforted me afterwards, but all I really want at this moment is Corrben. There was a whole line of men surrounding us, all ready to jump in. Eordion now refers to me as the Warrior of Bree, it appears. Tosie the Warrior of Bree with her trusty weapon, an empty tankard!
