Cirdu and I headed out in the morning! I managed to make us muffins when I woke up using his fire...How I did it without an oven was beyond me. I was actually surprised they were edible. I made sure to pack everything we needed! I also packed all my clothes... I think I might have packed a little.. too much. I made sure to pack Dudon's letters that he has sent me recently. Cirdu and I have a plan, and oh boooy is it a great one!!
On our way on our steeds, we were walking through these sort of barren lands.. You know.. I never did really ask where we were exactly. Anyway off to the side there was this huge ruin. Cirdu said it used to be a watch tower, and got destroyed from a war, I forgot which war he said it was. We tied our steeds to the sign post, and... I raced him to the top! I even had a head start!! but.. I didn't know the exact way, and he ended up passing me! It wasn't faiiirr.... well okay maybe I did cheat.. but I'm allooowed to!
At the top he showed me where we were headed, and unfortunately I left my backpack at the signpost so I had nothing to give him for winning. We raced back down, annd again I had a head start... but I got lost... the path did not lead back to the road! I actually went past our steeds. So for winning I gave him some pipeweed I had harvested. It was actually from the same farm I got my fishing pole from.
We continued down the barren road, past a broken bridge. Cirdu said water used to run through there once... and since it stopped well... I'm not sure why the bridge broke.. maybe it was from the same war that took out that tower? Perhaps, but Cirdu said they didn't rebuild it because it wasn't needed anymore. A little ways past that bridge, we saw a Half-Orc. Which well gross... who finds an Orc Attractive!
A little ways on the same road, there was a Warg! It was a medium sized one. I asked Cirdu if I managed to find one as a pup, if it would be not mean if I raised it. He said he didn't think so, that they were born evil. I was just thinking, it would be nice to have a pup for when I sleep outside... they could warn me if someone was around me, annd on top of it, It could make it a lot warmer to have a puppy to cuddle up with. Epically with winter right around the corner. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to sleeping at the Pony. I should see if Rivendell has an Inn, its so much nicer here. Hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to stay here! But I'm getting ahead of myself. I think I'll just have to keep my eye out for an abandoned wolf puppy, I couldn't take one from it's mother.. since I never got to meet mine... I don't know It just wouldn't feel right.
Eventually we made it to this bridge, where a couple was camping out at. We did some fishing, well... I did some fishing Haha! Cirdu kept me company, You know... He's starting to make me blush a lot. I don't know why... and I don't know how to hide it very well... annnd I'm running out of "reasons" to pretend of why my face turned pink for a bit. He's my best friend... well He's my best friend aside from Dudon who I consider to be like my brother. He's the first person I've met in Bree, that didn't scare me or get mad at me. I really meant it when I told him I admired him the first day I met him. It was after he took me to the Barrows. I was amazed that someone who I just tried to steal from... would be so nice to me... normally I'm fleeing, and trying to cover my tracks for a few days. Not only that.. but he lets me sleep on the rug at his house, I try not to stay over too often though... I don't wanna over stay my welcome, It's just a different experience.
I caught a big fish, a Salmon! I seasoned it up and cooked it for us by the fire. It was nice. I told him how I worked at the Green Dragon in the shire waitressing, and he made a comment about no wonder the Pony has no pretty waitresses, they're in the shire! I laughed, and blushed, and told him I could never work at the Pony, people there are way to disrespectful. We decided to keep going down the road, after we ate, but as I was going to my steed, I guess he caught a glimpse of my face.. He commented on making me blush I told him he was mistaken, Ha! I said the fire was just shining on my face oddly.
As we were going down the road, he said how he hasn't made a girl blush in years... I laughed and said I'd never have made a girl blush! Haha! Told him that girls are crazy! He told me about one of his crazy ex's that tried to kill him! Made me think about my Mentor's wife... who tried to kill him too annnd almost killed me! He asked me about my last man... and I well I never had a interest in a man... as a companion, Maybe I should've lied and said I was with someone... but... I didn't want to. He's my closest friend, and I don't like lying to my friends. Guards... commoners... No problem! But friends... that's different. He asked me if I'd ever been kissed before, hahaha I have some funny stories about that Epically in my waitressing days. But... no I haven't he asked me If I'd punch him if he kissed me I didn't answer.. I didn't know how to answer... I don't know what I'd do honestly... I never really thought about it. I guess I'm thinking about it right now... And I just I am I don't know!! That's a toughy.. Luckily as we were traveling along the road, there was a Troll up ahead... I hid behind him. It was the first time I'd seen a troll! He told me to hide by a tree, and I did while he went and delt with it. By then the topic had changed... annnd he didn't bring it up again haha! I think I got away with that one.
We finnally made it to Rivendell!! and it is absolutely gorgeous here! There are sooo many pretty waterfalls, buildings, people! haha I should say Elves! and did I say pretty!? Haha, Anyway I asked Cirdu if there was any Farmsteads here.. well Neighborhoods. because they would make a killing if there was! But, he said no there wasn't... soo no Gardening in Rivendell for me, Oh well. The elves have a lot of strict rules. Otherwise I'd be jumping and swimming off these waterfalls! Haha Cirdu said we can stay as long as I like. But I think I want to see more, He said the further away from Bree, the bigger the creatures get. There was huge bears outside of Rivendell. And he told me that there are some wargs the size of horses! I can't believe that! I so want to see!!
He said before he takes me out to a place like that I'd have to complete a challenge for him first. I wonder what it is, it's torturing me! He wouldn't give me annny hints. I wanna know soo bad! What could it be! Maybe a Knitting challenge? or baking? or Gardening? I highly doubt it's a gardening challenge I think he wants me to stop.. but it's a lot of fun to me. Plus! If I wasn't a Gardener, I would've never met him, and that would be a real shame. I wouldn't be seeing the world ! He said I needed to have more training, so I think I'll mail my mentor and tell him I need some really challenging lessons. I'm so glad I'm here in Rivendell, it's so peaceful here. Almost more peaceful then the shire, but you have way more fun at the shire!
