So much has happened over the last few days, I'll try to keep it brief. If that's even possible. We have made a lot of headway with the assassins after Ext. link: “Tarthanir” and his family. A lot... possibly enough to not have to look over our shoulders anymore. I think I might put my hair back up, I liked it that way, kept it from getting in the way when I train. I did wash the black hair dye out after a few days, but I still left it down to not be too noticeable
Ext. link: “Tarthanir” was training me how to defend myself against different types of weapons. I learned how to throw someone's axe out of there hands with my sword, and how to attack and defend against someone with a polearm. It was very informative, I should look into using Polearms perhaps! though, I kind of like the versatile nature of swords, Poles seem to be vulnerable in really close combat. However... during the lesson, Ext. link: “Tarthanir” grabbed me out of the way of an arrow... Knowing that the person was probably fixing to aim the next arrow I acted quickly helping him into the Inn, and to the beds.
I was freaking out. I've only assisted Gold in helping a lad that had stumbled into the Inn one night comepletely bloody, Poor fellow.. Glad he made it through the night... I'm getting sidetracked. Ext. link: “Tarthanir” had an arrow in his chest, an arrow that I think was ment for me. Luckily it didn't strike anything too important it seemed.. But it was a barbed arrow... I had to push it through.. It was so gross. Then I had to use hot coals on him to sterlize it. The sound of burning flesh and the smell is just horrific! I didn't really know what I was doing. I hope I did okay. Thank god he could do the rest of the bandaging and sterlizing with alcohol.
We took a few days off from training so he could recover. That is when we dyed our hair to lay low for a while. He put a fake beard on himself, It looked quite funny on him. After a few days, we trained again with throwing knives at his house. I believe that is a much safer location, for now at least. I do enjoy when people watch us in Bree, I think its fun to show off my skills to onlookers! But I don't think its the safest place right now.
He trained me with throwing knives, balanced and unbalanced. I think I prefer unbalanced ones, over balanced. It just seems more natural. I've been wanting to show Desta, and throw with her some. Unfortunately I haven't been seeing her around in the Pony any I hope she's doing alright. I do know she misses her man's touch.
Last night, I almost died... Its funny... I had just read a letter from a friend, and the last thing he wrote to me was "Stay out of Trouble." It seems every time someone tells me that... Trouble seems to find me.
