The next day, literally ! The next day after getting mugged in an alley, I run into yet another crazy man. A man that I call Mr. Solo. As I was leaving the the pony after my morning breakfast that gold had already paid for, I went to Barliman, and got a flask of water, to go, because I was going to go Gardening. As I'm walking out of the inn, Mr solo, is standing there handing me a piece of paper, with some numbers on it. He didn't say a word to me, and he left. I was a bit confused, then figured out it was map coordinates! MAP COORDINATES!! Half the time I am looking at my map upside down!! So after studying my map for a good thirty minutes or so, I found where to go, and I took Roach and walked there. It was raining, Luckily I had my hood, but cant say the note made it.
As I got to the top, it was at the top of this hill over looking the pony, I looked around, there was a man there. So, I asked him if he knew Mr. solo... the man didn't he also had his hand on his blade... so since he didn't know him, I figured whatever if he doesn't know him... why am I wasting my time! Time to garden!
I made my way over to the "fields" and proceeded with my work. First batch of them nothing good. However, the second patch of fields... at the entrance of them stood Mr. Solo... I asked him what he needed... He told me I had failed the test... that I was supposed to find a second note. I told him his directions were crapy, just numbers... to a place I'd never been to before. I told him if he was Gardening in this spot I'll leave, that I don't mess with other gardener's vegetables. He proceeded to tell me I was terrible... jerk! I asked him what the second note said and he wouldn't tell me. He wanted to speak to me at his hideout... I was hesitant... I'd just been mugged the night before... He told me if he wanted me dead it would already be done... Seeing that he used, daggers.. the inferior weapon by far... at least in my opinion. I figured I'd keep my distance so I would have time to run if it was needed.
So we get to his hideout, he proceeds to again tell me I'm awful. but he wants to help me not develop "bad habits". Still confused, at why he wanted to help me I asked him why, he was over by a little desk looking at something in a book. He ignored my question, and asked if I was going to come look at the what he had opened in the book. Told em, not until you answer my question. He said I reminded him of himself when he was younger. I thought.. okay maybe this guy isn't as bad as I think, sure maybe he's an jerk... but maybe he really wants to help me out.
Boy was I WRONG! He mentioned that I was terrible yet again, so in defense I decided to show him my two hot potatoes... I had the little sparkling wonders in my hand next thing I know, I had dirt in my face!! I clasped my hot potatoes and put them in my pouch,as quick** as I can... right then that's all I had to my name! Next thing I know he's has sprinted at me, kicked me in the knee, taken one of my farming tools off my belt. Panicking I got to my feet as quick as I could, tossed my sword on the floor since I knew that is what he probably wanted next... and Booked it on the door, I jumped on the back of Roach, never kicked my poor steed so hard in my life to go! Roach reared, and took off, As he's galloping, I looked behind myself see that I'm being pursued.
Damnit I thought, I should have never showed Mr Solo my hot potatoes! I set out for town as fast as I could, trying to lose him in the marshes, no luck what so ever! I tore my mask off as I got closer to town, figured I'd run to the guards screaming help, but by the time I got to the gate, I thought a guard might not fall for such a ploy, as I was dressed all in black... so I still looked a bit shady. Instead I rode to the pony as fast as I could, hoping to lose him in all the people and, I wanted to change as quick as possible.
I got to the pony, dashed inside to the back rooms, changed into what I could as fast as I could leaving my other outfit just on the floor. I knew he saw me go into the pony, so I decided to leave out the back door. I jogged through town, by now I'm losing my energy. I saw the palomino steed I've been trying to sell at one of the stables inside town, Its owner must have found her, it was not where I had left her. No matter... she was going to come in use again. I took her away from the pony, and brought her to a walk when I was far enough away that I felt I wasn't followed, to catch my breath, and to try and relax.
Next thing I know Mr solo, is behind my steed. He said something, to me but I was in too much of a panic, seeing him out of instinct I punched the poor Palomino as hard as I cold, It bucked, and rear kicking him, I wasn't sure if it actually had hit him at the time, but later I found after seeing him it did. I rode to the ruins above the city, and tied the mare to the tree by the ruins. and sat next to it. Thanked her, and apologized for having to have hit her. Told her she had earned her freedom this time. The strange man from before was again at the ruins, I didn't say anything to him, he didn't look very friendly. He seemed like a trapper, and Trappers really scare me. Skinning poor helpless animals...no matter....
I sat peering down over the city, for a good while. I started to think I had truly lost him. It started to feel safe.... Then I started to hear something wrestling behind me, I look up to find Mr Solo behind me starting to climb the rock, that I sat in front of. My adrenaline pumped, and I slid down the hill on my butt, screaming at the top of my lungs "Away from meeeee!!!" I ran to the jail, and hid in some bushes and trees. Shortly after I had gotten there, I saw him walking the street on his armored steed... And I noticed Hawk walking down the road as well! I watched from the bushes trying to stay as silent as I could be... I couldn't hear them very well... I heard something of a mention of a name... but I was too far. Soon Mr solo continued down the road, Hawk I think spotted me, and walked over telling me to get out of the bushes.
I did, and as I started to speak, Mr solo showed up... saying something about my crimson cloak. I felt a little braver with Hawk standing there.. I'd never seen him fight before... but he gives off the vibe that he knows what he is doing... So, since I felt a little safer I told the other Gardener, Mr Solo, to Piss off. He tried to tell me it was a "Lesson" He was trying to teach me. Bull crap I tell you!! He should have warned me of this lesson ahead of time! He ROBBED ME !! Of my gardening tools!! Anyone who would have stayed in that situation I tell you is just crazy! I didn't make it 7 years on the streets without having to run quite a few times. Hawk told him he needed to leave me alone, That it was obvious that he had startled me, and that I was now under his protection.
After a short while, he left, and Hawk asked me what happened... well Long story short, I told him what I have written above. Man I tell you my luck needs to start getting better. I seem to have only been getting myself into trouble the past few days.... Thankfully Hawk, and Gold seem to have been getting me out of my messes.. but... I feel as though I'm really using up my 9 lives... Anyway I need to figure out how to get some newly crafted Gardening tools. The only "lesson" I have learned is to stay away from other Gardeners... they are only trouble. I need to stick with the Farmers... they hardly ever cause me trouble.
