Travels in the Misty Mountians

The morning sun was beaming down on the snow as Perdolreth was riding her horse up to Gloin's campsite. She had to speak to Gloin about the possibiliy that Gandalf the Grey might bring the company through Moria, to the halls of Balin. After speaking to Gloin, She thought of wandering around up through the mountain side to see more of it's grand peaks. Also, to see how many goblins were truly up this way.

Only thing she regretted was not telling anyone in the Order that she had headed up to the mountains...

Her curious ways were always finding her trouble and she had always been able to get out of it but today Perdol may have just went a bit to far in her scouting for goblins. As she traveled out of Gloin's Campsite she asked one of the dwarfs guards at the entrance if there were other camps up here in the mountains. As he spoke to her, he said, you better be careful lass, there are things in these mountains that don't let to many people return...I've seen a few as well. She knew she could hide her tracks well and it would be good for Rivendell to know of what may be at their back door. Like Gandalf said, if anything happened to the company there would be more danger for everyone in Middle Earth. Being prepared is far better then waiting for a full invasion.

She rode through Bruinen Source West into a wide open snowy area passing fur trees covered with snow and hills of rock. As she rode further in she saw snow beasts all around her...not wanting to scare them into going after her she dodged in and out of them. Slapping her horse on the rear and yelling, "come on!" As her horse picked up speed the air was more crisp and chilled her a bit on her cheeks. This wouldn't bother her at the least she was used to ruff ride on the backside of her horse. She entered into the east side of Bruinen Source and headed left up a pathway with a steep incline... She was now going through Whitcleft. She followed the path up till she entered into another larger clearing this one even larger then the last. GOBLINS! She jumped off her horse not expecting to see them so soon. They were in the company of wargs and many of them...

Sneaking past the wargs she figured she would keep looking to see if there were more of them. This could be just a look out camp she thought to herself and she continued on her way. Seeing far up ahead with her elf eyes there was a long trail it crisscrossed up the side of mountain. She was now in the Northern High Pass. It started to snow as she reached the top. There at the hill top was a stone bridge. Unsure of this bridge she made her way over it slowly... she was keeping her eyes on anything that moved as she was riding.

Once over the stone bridge, she reached the Cirith Daur pass. It was a narrow pass that turned suddenly to the left. It was getting darker now and the snow was falling faster and getting thicker, she spotted wargs on the path as she made it to the High Pass campsite. She spoke to Nogmeldir an elf and three dwarves Eywind, Tweggi and Lini while she gathered supplies from them. Asking if they had seen Goblins up here. They all said to her there were many that were camped over the ridge and they were keeping watchful eye on them. The place they were speaking of was goblin town. Nogmeldir asked if she could scout up further for them. They could send word back to Rivendell if she didn't return. They had lost elves already and didn't know what had become of them. Knowing they could leave word she decided to go forward and see if there were any clues to the other elves.

She started down the narrow path that was just off to the right side of the campsite. It wound around the cliffside with a few twists and turns. After traveling past the turns of the trail the pathway dropped down and would turn almost completely the other direction. As she got to the bottom of the path it went into two separate paths. Perdol took the left pathway to see where it went. As she rode further it leads to a very dark cave. She stopped and tried to look into this pit of darkness but even her elf eyes couldn't find any shapes or clues to anything inside its shadowy darkness. Without hesitation, she decided to enter the cave. Carrying her swords as she entered she could smell the stench of goblins. After walking for a couple of minutes she could see torch lights ahead. Still, in stealth mode, she continued on slowly making her way further into the goblins town. Her eyes move to every shadow as she moved along the cave path. She kept her eyes on a torch that lay ahead. Looking around at the pathway the cave opened up into a large cavern. There were a number of fire pits around and she could make out two goblins at the end of the cavern. Although Perdol knew little of goblins and more on spiders from her homelands she unknowingly had fallen for one of the goblins traps. She swung her swords taking out the first two goblins but as she was about to cut the head off a third goblin they knocked her unconscious...

One day has passed since Perdolreth was knocked out by the goblins. They have taken her to the slave pins and she is sitting in a cell not too sure how she was over whelmed by these little monsters. She looks around her cell trying to find anything she can use to pick the lock and free herself... Then her thoughts turn to..." Where are my weapons?" Sigh...

She looks out at the bunch of goblins sitting in front of her and one now eyeing her and patting her bow as she watches him. She smacks at the cell bars and sits back down...
