Entry Sixteen, dated 16th of March, The Thrid Age of Middle Earth
Moving into the new house has been hard work indeed....Lessel and Lenwenn said they would help us, and we gladdy took their help. We tied the horses to the cart and packed almost everything we had in the Ered Luin house to be moved back to Bree-Land.
*Smiles a thanks as Victor (The House cook) pours him a goblet of wine and turns back to his own tasks*
I thought it best to wear my armour for the journy, the cart was heavy enough without my war gear weighing it down. Lendes was worried that I would be too tried by the time we left the Shire, but I assured her that I had marched further and longer then the road we were taking. A part of me frowned as I told her that, I was hoping to resurre her, but I seemed to have upset her.
*Bites his lower lip slightly and takes a quick sip of the wine*
Lessel and Lenwenn took turns with walking with the horses, I swear they never stopped talking *Chuckles*! We left Ered Luin at dawn and came into the Shire not long after. Needlehole proved to be hard to cross, as the Halflings were in awe with my armour. I held Fireblade across my back and my helmet in my arm, but I cannot understand why they were so inthralled....Had they not seen a solider before?
*Smiles as Lendes walks past, leaning down and kissing his cheek. Muttering him to get back to work for the Ball and teastlingly licks his ear before walking away*
.......The journy across the Shire was very pleasent. I was speaking to Lenwenn about my old war horse who I left roam free in around there's lands, while Lessel held her little brother. Lendes kept an eye on the horses, and it was she who said we might not make it within the day. So, knowing that our rush would not do us any justice, we stopped by a small pond and had some lunch.
*Sips his wine and pauses, remembering the picnick with a fond smile, dipping his quill into the ink well*
By the time we got to Bree, night had fallen. It was a welcoming change, the sun had been beating down on us all day and the night air was cool and refreshing. We carried on, willing the horses to last just another hour or so, just enough so we could get to my old house. We came into Bidwall at midnight and went stright to my old house that I kept, knowing that I might need it one day. Placing everything in the spare room, Lessel and Lenwenn bid us a good night and went to their own houses, after such a day, they diserved a rest.
*Lendes walks back again and tells Isilorbor to help her with the Ball, after a few words, Lendes promises to give him a few more minuites*
Lendes and I spent the next two weeks taking items from my old house to the new one in Hampdean. It took another two weeks to look for a group of hire a group of servents to help us with the house, and then to place all our stuff and other house work.
*Looks over his shoulder and smiles at Lendes talking to a group of servents about the Ball*
We are host a Ball for the house, I hope we will get a good turn out. The house is looking perfect and all that is left for us to do is sort our outfits and draw a rough guest list. I am sure many of the Defenders who are not on frontline duties will come, but now I must end this entry, otherwise Lendes may unleash a wrath I fear more keenly then any orc blade...
*Grins to himself and finishes the entry*
