A Strange Place

Cisel stood in the alley looking at the sky.  She had finally left Bree, and she found the natural woods outside of the walls to be beautiful.  Her plans were to leave Bree again that day, just to see the nature again.  A small smile spread across her face as she looked at the alley again.  A large man caught her eyes, his clothing wasn't as tattered as other people.  This caught Cisel's attention and she snuck forward towards the man.  He wore a grey vest, covered in fishing hooks it looked like, and his arms were exposed.  Cisel had to crane her neck to look up at him, he was tall and big, bigger than her for sure.

And then, a thought crossed her mind when Cisel's eyes landed on a coin purse strapped to his belt.  She wanted coin, just so she could eventually pay her friend, Aeonid, back for the clothing and bow he had given to her.  Of course, Cisel didn't want to feel like she owed someone something.  So she slipped through the shadows and stuck her hand out to grab the coin purse from the man, who was snoozing in the morning light.

Her hand brushed against his shirt when he quickly grabbed it, throwing her into the cobblestone path.  Cisel struggled to her feet, looking at the man who drew his dagger.  Sharp pain spread from her side as the knife entered into her, blood seeping out.  She could feel it struck into her ribs and pull out, blood pouring out as she fell to her knees.  Cisel could hear the man's foot steps run off, but she struggled to see.  Somehow, she managed to crawl under the wagon that she lived under.

A little time passed, though Cisel could not tell how long it was, till Aeonid had come looking for her.  He saw her, dropping to his knees and scooping her up.  Aeonid ran to the Pony, where he found a healer for Cisel.  She struggled to stay conscious the entire time, to afraid to slip into blackness.  The healer spoke gently to her, and Cisel was able to respond with nods to the woman's questions.  However, Cisel couldn't muster enough energy to actually speak. Cisel was given a vial in the time she laid in front of the healer and some other people, which made her fall asleep.

When Cisel awoke, she was in a house that she didn't recognize.  It took her a moment for her eyes to come into focus, and before her stood a familiar face  of Aeonid.  There was a sharp pain in her side where her wound was stitched up and her rib was broken.
