Arriving back home in Imladris was the best thing Plinnlim could imagine. Looking down at the beautiful valley, hearing the sounds of the waterfalls - that was simply perfect. She was home again! Hiril Haerel, who had accompanied her on the journey home, took both horses to the stables while Plinnlim's first way was directly to the last homely house to seek hîr Elrond. Not only was she told to report him about what she had seen, she had also a letter from hîr Elladan for him, concerning this and other matters. Hîr Elrond listened carefully to her describing the encounter with the dark wolves and then dismissed her.

And now, the probably worst part was to come. Facing her parents. Despite her being a very fearless elf usually, she decided to make a detour to the stables to see if hiril Haerel was still there. But on her way there she met hîr Tahjun, one of the strong warriors of Imladris she admired so much, who welcomed her back and told her that there was a gathering at the moment in the Hall of Fire. She had totally forgotten what day it was and hurried back to join the gathered elves, feeling a bit uncomfortable at the first moment because of her travelling outfit - that was indeed not the most fashionable nor the cleanest at the moment - but she embraced the chance of postponing the meeting with her parents a little more.

Her worries faded within no time, as she was welcomed very friendly again by the others, and the lovely melodies that were played made her forget her fear for a short time. She enjoyed the music and dancing and meeting new, interesting elves. The last song was especially wonderful, and thus strengthened, she finally walked up the path to her home.

At the entrance she stopped for a while, dusted her clothes off, and then took a long, deep breath before entering the house. Her parents were overjoyed to see her, welcomed her back heartily and prepared a bath immediately. Right before slipping into the wonderfully warm water, Plinnlim handed her mother the letter from Duillond with trembling hands. Her mother took it with astonishment and started reading and her eyes became larger and larger.
