An odd Journey: Prologue.

Only a few short hours had passed since the Hunter had left upon his path towards the Eastern realms, far away from what had become the so very familiar lands of Bree.

He looked back over his shoulder,  to cast one last look and glance at the fading and blurry image of the Town, that had been his home for the last many months. Many a friend had he gained, and Tristal (The Hunter, ofcourse.) Could but only chuckle at the memory of Threland and Sefa. Alas it was not just merry memories that had taken it's place among the Hunter's thoughts, during his pleasant and no less comforting stay in the Town of Merchants.

For only a week, or perhaps two, had passed since the tragic and troubling event that had caused Tristal's so urgent departure.

A vague frown appeared upon the Hunter's face, as his mind went back to that horrid evening. Where he had stood in the smokey rooms of the Prancing Pony, his mind at ease for once, as he had been deep within conversation with a newly-aqquainted friend - Sefa. Tristal could remember, ever so clearly,  how Threland had nearly dragged his exhausted self inside, only to greet the eyes of a lurking curiosity. A curiosity, that seemed to haunt the busy Inn, on every sole occation...

But there is no reason to share with you, my dear reader, what already has been told.

Yet Threland was a very new friend to Tristal, one of the first he had gained in many a year. Thus Tristal still did feel strange. He felt strange about helping someone that he had only just aqquainted a few months ago, especially by wandering East... For Tristal knew very well, that he, like so many other Hunter's had done before, could meet his doom in the darkness of the terrible Eastern woods...
