The Sworn Wanderers were calling their members together for an alliance meeting between themselves and the Council of the Red Dragon. Their illustrious leader Avalong believed that it would be in their best interest if as many members attended for the sake of meeting and understanding who they were allied with. But Adreles had a personal vow to keep. As he made his way towards Rivendell, taking to the terrain instead of the more commonly used trails; the hunter was startled by the sound of hooves trampling through the brush not too far from him. A quick look revealed a dark haired elf clad in protective gear with a shield slung over his back and a mace hanging from his belt. Just a bit ahead of him was an elfin maiden with golden hair, dressed in ornately crafted armor of much better quality leather than what Adreles had previously seen her in. But it was the quiver and bow that hung from her back were most familiar to him.
Cerynitis seemed to have fully recovered, and was eager to pick uip the trail where she had left off. Unfortunately, she knew that too much time had passed and the trail would no longer be there, but she had a good idea of where they might have been headed. She and Rakesh rode their horses deep into Trollshaw before deciding to leave their horses with the encampment near Tal Bruinen. From there, they scaled the cliffs, looking for signs of orcs and goblins. But what they came across seemed nothing like either. Curiosity gave Cerynitis the drive to pursue these unusual tracks, to see what new danger might possibly threat Middle Earth.
The trail led the two elves through wyrm infested land, where earth-bound lizards roamed amongst the rocky river shores that were cradled within the massive gaps between the cliffs. Rakesh and Cerynitis carefully weaved their way through the nests of the wyrms, hoping not to disturb the lizards while they slept in the afternoon sun. But neither elf knew for sure just how keen their sense of smell was, and before they knew it, fire rained down upon them. Rakesh used his shield to protect himself and Cerynitis from the blaze as they fought their way out of the nesting grounds.
