Background
Bannockbury Hall Mathom Society

After a recent stock-take and assessment of the Hall's vast collection of mathoms, books and artifacts, it became apparent that some apportioning and re-organising was in order. After much persuasion and discussion, Adalbern Tookbanks was permitted by his father, the patriarch of the family Adelmar Tookbanks, to take some of the lesser collections (and borrow some of the more important ones) and 'set up shop' in some of the unused rooms of Bannockbury Hall. Here, acting as a new local Mathom-House, hobbits from across the Four Farthings are encouraged to become members of Bannockbury Hall Mathom Society, enabling them to enjoy the benefits of the collection in good surroundings and company. Members are also encouraged make their own contributions of mathoms and curiosities to complete this new and important collection.

Bannockbury Hall Mathom Society is a new social Hobbit Role Playing Kinship on the Laurelin server of The Lord of the Rings Online. We are a casual Kinship with a medium-to-heavy role playing feel, holding regular themed events and other social events throughout the year.
Our unique lore, history and theme takes its inspiration from an original interpretation the Bannockbury housing neighborhood found within the game.
Our friendly atmosphere and co-operative approach, as well as our unique expansion of the lore found within the works of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien, make our Kinship a very fun place to be!
