While still being showered with celebratory flower petals, Norliriel is given her first task as an oathsworn of Bar-en-Vanimar by no lesser than Anglachelm himself: the creation of a set of ornate swan medallions.

Anglachelm opens the ebony box and he reveals a medallion in the likeness of a swan. It is actually a cut GEMSTONE, a yellow topaz. Very few people ever learned to cut a crystal without cracking it this masterfully and almost nobody lives with this knowledge to this day.The swan is attempting a take off and posing as looking backwards. Story

Not a trace was left of the scout that disappeared, except a few drops of blood on the snow.

A hasty answer was, therefore, required to this urgent message. Lord Ambassador Parnard leaned back in his chair and gazed up at the ceiling for several minutes before reading the message again. He liked to avoid hasty answers whenever he could: they often resulted in errors of judgment.

A Celebratory Occasion

"Well, Sogadan,” said the Lord Ambassador. “What do you think I have inside this box?”

“Your coin to pay off your wine bill, I hope! You have let it run up again."

Fighting Words

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

We gathered at the appointed place, at the appointed time, and I uttered a few words of encouragement, as some faces seemed a little pale and anxious. I said how it will suit the rest of our noble House, and our Lord Anglachelm’s high authority, if we learned the art of defense and fighting. Then I said how advantage favors the well-practiced hand, and it would please me to see one or two of our Order strike a solid blow above the girdle.

Diary

Dear Diary,

Last night -- lasting no small bit into this morning! -- was peaceful but interesting. I saw hir Khalis before the gathering started, but he elected not to join us this week.
