As food and supplies are running low, some of the people of Bancross goes out for a hunt in the wintery Rohan forests, and will bring home moose and boar to feed the town. As always, they are all thankful and humbled after a grand hunt, knowing that taking the lives of a few beasts may feed many hungry mouths in the weeks and months to come.

A grand feast will be held upon their return, and the antlers will be set upon the wall as a trophy and rememberance of a successful hunt.

The Bancross Mystery: A meeting with the Captain

I dreaded going to the garrison, but it had to be done. As I’m walking down the road, I keep thinking and remembering old battles; not of blood and bone, but of will and mind. My brother-in-law had never been easy to deal with, even as he was young and eager to prove himself, and it did not become easier once he eventually joined Ehris’ company. Our arguments in the past were never forgotten and oh, how I resented his rash decisions and humorless searches for danger at times.

I awoke before dawn, to find I lay alone in our bed. Reaching a hand over, I felt the blankets on his side still held his warmth. Waelden had not risen long ago.

Story
The farm is a cold and silent place for the moment, but still there is a sense of tranquility here promising better days to come. The pantry is filled to the rim with grain, salted meat and several barrels of my own dark mead. More than enough to take me through the rest of the winter and some of my neighbours, if needed. Returning back home to Bancross, after months of hardship within the Dunland borders is a blessing. I have met my old friends again and even managed to get a few new ones as well.

Too Much Mead

One night at the Bancross market, the loo line had suddenly grown to epic proportions... even the dog needed to go!

Perhaps they all had too much mead to drink that night, or something rotten had been served. Noone will ever know, except the poor bastard on latrine duty.

Woe!
