Men of the north I think, one of them somehow looked familiar  but I could not recall when or where I  had met him before. They spoke  to Halson and between themselves in a strange language , and even if I am from Overhill ( and we all talk funny there) , I could not make what they were saying.

Dear diary of mine,

I met today two new hobbitses. Their names were Ardo and Inula, I believe... Very well, I did not "meet" them in the proper meaning of the word... but they were just so cute together that one could not help herself... This Ardo was wearing a many times patched-up waistcoat and according to what I found out by listening, he hails from Hobbiton and is very very fond of Inula. Inula, then, had a light reddish brown hair and a funny green dress. As one was following them, she had to sigh of happiness. The first lovebirds of the Spring.
