Dear diary of mine,
I met today two new hobbitses. Their names were Ardo and Inula, I believe... Very well, I did not "meet" them in the proper meaning of the word... but they were just so cute together that one could not help herself... This Ardo was wearing a many times patched-up waistcoat and according to what I found out by listening, he hails from Hobbiton and is very very fond of Inula. Inula, then, had a light reddish brown hair and a funny green dress. As one was following them, she had to sigh of happiness. The first lovebirds of the Spring.

Soon after that it began to storm again... I hurried with my umbrella to the Plough and the Stars, where Amorey, Tukko and Sandinia were sitting beside the fire and chatting merrily. Miss Sandi admired my hat and I admitted her that honestly I had to fight for it.
Tukko had to leave soon and as Amey was writing a letter outside the inn, Sandi and I tasted what mr. Halson Tubwort had to be offered for hobbit guests. Pear cider and beer! I rather detest pears, but Sandi seemed to enjoy her drink.

My aunt has been taking care of my burrow and the chickens in Oldfurlong for now. I wonder if I should return home soon. I know she hates my chickens due to their a bit scrappy behaviour. Her hands were covered by wounds after the last time she tried to feed them. Yet she is the only one who is brave enough to approach them...
