The hoot of an owl nearby both frightened Dru inexplicably, and snapped her out of her stupor. She lifted a shaking hand to wipe away the cold layer of sweat from her face.

"Not this fool again," was all Dru could think when she realised the man they'd followed was none other than Furley. She had aided him before when he managed to get on the bad side of a less than savoury group and Ashwyneth requested her assistance. 

This story directly follows that of The High Moor: Part the First.

“Surely,” she begins, mindful of how she may accidentally disturb him as she relaxes, and now endeavoring not to, “someone must know something?”

Imladris ; Late afternoon

Daisy was pleased to find her friends, Lowenna and Rowena, waiting for her on the other side of the door. She stepped outside and embraced each in turn. They were gratified to learn that she was doing alright, despite her lack of sleep. She then let them in to see how the man they helped rescue was faring. Each remarked in hushed voices how different he looked now compared to when they discovered him held captive in the camp.
