The Woods of the Shire. Providing hobbits with timber, nuts, berries and game. Home to animals both benign and wild. Sources of crumbled old ruins and tales of mystery. Welcome to the eight historical field trip!

Needlehole. Near the Shire borders. Visited by travelling dwarves going to and from the Blue Mountains. A good place to visit if one is to learn more about the relationship between hobbits and the other races. Welcome to the seventh hobbit historical field trip!

Greenfields. A beautiful plain of long grass, wild flowers and many badgers. Site of a major battle between hobbits and goblins 270 years ago. Come with us to relive the legends of Bullroarer Took and our brave ancestors!

Buckland. Home ter somewhat strange hobbits, many of whom like wearing boots. Swimming. Mucking around in boats on the Brandywine. I bet living next door ter that old scary forest makes fer odd habits. Would yer like to learn more about them?
