It started like any other day. Every now and then someone would drop a few coppers into Cat's metal tin. She'd smile and thank them, even though she knew it wasn't much. Then a kind lady, Miss Ced came up to her and gave her two rolls of bread and went into the Pony to buy her a tankard of freshly pressed apple juice.
