Kindness

It started like any other day. Every now and then someone would drop a few coppers into Cat's metal tin. She'd smile and thank them, even though she knew it wasn't much. Then a kind lady, Miss Ced came up to her and gave her two rolls of bread and went into the Pony to buy her a tankard of freshly pressed apple juice. Ced had to leave, but the kind lady said she'd stop by Beggar's Alley to give out more bread and some cakes later, which made Cat excited. Then came along Mr Fiontann who asked her how her day was and gave her a handful more of silver coins, as the ones he'd given her before were stolen by some theives. Ced returned and it was revealed that Mr Fiontann and Ced were together. They invited Cat into the Pony for a meal with them and that is where Mr Fiontann and Ced proposed that Cat help out Miss Ced with her baking which would entail having a place to stay, fresh clothes to wear and food to eat. Had Miss Ced not have shown Cat true kindness earlier, then Cat omprobably wouldn't have accepted the offer.
