Appearance: Like nearly all of those from Far Harad, Sriva is dark-haired with deep brown skin. Her long coiled hair is nearly always worn in a bun to keep it away from her face. Her eyes are grey and clear, a trait not as common among the Haradrim, though they bear some lasting signs of past injury. She is a tall woman, standing just short of six feet in height, with an athletic physique.

In recent days, her travels with her companions in Eriador have left her with many scars. She is no stranger to injury, as can be seen by various small scars and scratches about her body, though a brawl with Yilgtig the Older has left her with a massive scar along her right hip as well as a terrible bite mark permanently scarred onto her throat, which she typically covers with a shawl. A skirmish with one of Yilgtig the Younger's body doubles left her with an injury to her eyes which left her partially blind for a short while.

Attire: Upon living as an exile in Eriador for a short time, she made for herself a new set of armour more fitting for the battles ahead of her. This new armour takes more after the style of the Free Peoples rather than her own kin of Haradwaith, though certain Southron elements can clearly be seen in its design. The helmet of said set of armour covers her entire face in combat, giving a raspy, metallic sound to her shouts and battle cries, terrifying her foes.

On some occasions, she is willing to go about clad in the armour of her people. Her particular set consists of a plate shirt and sleeveless crimson hauberk, as well as a hooded mask.

In times of rest or celebration, she wears a burgundy and gold dress with a matching shawl and headdress. For tasks that involve silently trailing targets or fair amount of stealth, she goes clad in a padded leather tunic and knife-storing gauntlets with a hooded cloak.

During the days of her wandering throughout Eriador, she went about clad in black leather garments with a hood partially concealing her face for the sake of secrecy. She was able to keep several daggers and knives on her person with such attire, and with it she carried a pack containing whatever supplies she needed for any occasion at hand.

Speech: Sriva's first language is common Haradric. During her time spent in Eriador, she picked up on much Westron speech and can speak it fluently enough for casual conversation, though she always prefers to use her native tongue when speaking with fellow travelers from Harad. She also can understand the Black Speech of Mordor, though after her exposure to the language during her days with the Black Serpent Tribe she began to detest the language and all who spoke it willingly.

Background

Sriva was born on August 5th, 2995 to the Alsvaahr family in a Haradrim town in the far south of the mountains running along the land's western region. When she was young, her father taught her the art of smithing, and she grew very fond of the forging of weapons. Throughout much of her life from her adolescence onward, she went about the lands of Far Harad as a mercenary, receiving payment from various chieftains who employed her into their ranks. This went on for some years until her employer at the time, an aid to the Chieftain of the Black Serpent Tribe, gave her orders to venture far north into Gondor to execute various soldiers in their armies who had caused great harm to the Southlands. She accepted the contract without hesitation. While she had acquired great wealth and skill among the Black Serpent, their frequent contact with the Men and Orcs of Mordor brought her great discomfort, and in time she had begun to despise Mordor as greatly as she hated the West.

During her journey northwards, Sriva had successfully murdered her contract in Umbar and made it as far as the great havens of Pelargir. Much of her time was spent in reconnaissance within the city, though she did indeed carry out a second of her assigned kills, keeping the man's greatsword as a trophy. After a time she began to see the truth of the Free Peoples and their lives, realizing that the tales her chieftains had told her were all cruel exaggerations meant to breed a hatred for the Men of the West in the hearts of the Haradrim. She abandoned her contract and fled further north in the hopes that she would escape the influence of the Black Serpent Tribe. After a just over a year of journeying north she came at last to the Bree-land in the year 3012 of the Third Age, where she made a dwelling for herself for seven years. However, her whereabouts have become unknown shortly after the downfall of Sauron.

Sriva is curious to a fault, oftentimes poking her nose into business where it doesn't belong. In times of rest she is blunt to her friends and passive to strangers, though in battle she shows a terrible ferocity that those of her homeland have become infamous for among the Free Peoples. She has seen for herself that rumours and falsehoods have been sowed among the people on both sides of the conflict between the northwest of Middle-earth and the Southlands. During her residence in the North, she had hoped to mend the severed ties of alliance between the peoples of the North and the South, that all of Middle-earth may one day be united. She had hoped that one day, after Sauron was overthrown and his allies put down, she would be able to at last safely return home. Perhaps that time has now come.
