Hildwine was born near to Edoras to a young couple that worked as farmers. She was the second born of four children and the only girl. Sadly, when she was but fourteen years of age her parents died of illness.

                Though she was not the oldest, she was left with the responsibility of looking after her family. Her older brother was a cripple and could not find work. They lost the land that was once owned by their parents and they had no family member to live with, so they took the little money and they bought an old barn, which they turned into a home.

                Hilde took up her bow to hunt for coin while her older brother cared for the home.  Her life came to revolve around getting enough money to feed her family. She cut herself off socially from any friends she once had. Even her relationships with her siblings suffered.

                When Hilde was at the age of seventeen, her older brother was taken by the same sickness that took her parents. She was left with not only the responsibility of providing for her family, but also acting as a mother for her younger brothers. It was at this time that she met a man who would become very dear to her. His name was Wrenfast.

                As the years past her brothers grew into fine young men and with Hilde’s help, they became fine warriors as well. Eventually they became soldiers and left home. Hildwine would have become quite lonely if not for Wrenfast. He was her closest friend.

                Overtime, Hilde developed feelings for Wrenfast, though he did not see her the same way. They spent all their time together, but he never realized how she felt. She was so afraid that she would lose the one friendship she had, that she never told him how she felt.

                When she was the age of thirty, she got word that her brothers died in a battle against the men of Dunland. Around this same time Wrenfast told her he wanted to journey to Bree. He was restless and longed for adventure. With almost no thought, Hilde decided to go with him.

                It took two years, but eventually they made it to Bree-Town. They were there for a few months before they decided to head out again. They hadn’t even reached the border of Bree-Land before a terrible accident led to Wrenfast losing his footing at a sheer drop into a river and falling to his death.

                Hilde now resides in Harwick, having travelled  back to Rohan. She wishes to make many fond memories with the men and women of Rohan; to drink through her sorrows, and meet many good and loyal friends.
