Parnard gestured around the room. “There is space for dancing; we can push the table aside.” Then he went over to a side table filled with bottles of wine and opened the nearest.

Merchant's Guild Council Meeting

Come join the merchants of Bree-land as they bicker endlessly over trivial matters in the Merchant’s Guild Council Meeting. The Merchant’s Guild is an advisory body to the Mayor and as such has no real, direct political power. So the Mayor will likely discard or ignore the majority of petitions sent to him by the Merchant’s Guild. But the fun of political RP is in the process, not the results!

River of thoughts

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The flow of the Bruinen was but a gentle trickling thing here at the fjording of the valley. In comparison, a roaring tempest tore through Elrond’s mind. He had gone on ahead of his army, thinking time alone would calm his mind, and his mood. He could not escape the thought that his kin marched toward a meat-grinder, and that their bright armour would soon to be stained by the ruin being wrought across Eregion.

Finally Yrill arrived in the Hidden Valley, in the midst of a thunderstorm. She would be glad for a short time of respite, and to inquire after those she had known. Somehow she felt many would no longer be there. Possibly some had already sailed West? Were any still remaining?

The Last Bridge

Yrill stopped to speak with Rochwen at the Last Bridge.

Had there been any recent trouble? Was the road still safe for travellers, for any partys heading to Mithlond?

All seems reasonably safe. Only two groups or orc raiders were encountered recently, and those were swiftly despatched by scouts from Imladris.

Yrill muses a moment about her time as a scout of Imladris. But those days are now in her past, and she must ride on to the Hidden Valley.

Passing Bree

Yrill was in no particular hurry, there was no known deadline. But she wanted to accomplish her task sooner rather than later. It took only a couple of days to reach, and ride past Bree. She had no intention of stopping at that town.

She recalled back two years, when they had been bothered by some Breeland brigands, and Estarfin had suggested retaliation. She had seen his point, and would have gone along with it if Danel and Parnard had not been kidnapped. She understood that not all Men were of that ilk, but had no intention of being diverted by them.

En route to Mordor, though planning to head first to Imladris, Yrill encounters an old friend, the Dwarf, Throthi. The pair have known each other for over forty years, and Yrill knows Throthi to be a reliable friend and companion. She went part of the way to Moria with him over twelve years past, but the canny Longbeard knew he had bitten off too much. He quizzes her on her present plan. Yrill only says she is heading to Imladris, not wanting an eager Throthi to try and accompany her.
