The Shades Journeys: Week 29 Beautiful Summereve

There has been awhile since I have written in my diary.

It has not been much that has happened the latest days, except that I have received an order from the Major's wife in Bree-Town, she wanted me to create her a dress.
A big honour of course, as it is my first order from the high-class circle. It's a painstaking work indeed, but I need the dress to be perfect, it may affect my future orders and renome as a Seamstress.

It has been good to think of something else in this strange times, although we are all aware of the cruelty in foreign lands. Even so.. I have chosen to be a little ignorant, some say lack of responsibility perhaps, but I know our men and their allies do their best to protect their lands and the civilians as the best they can.
Myself, as a lady that live on her own, is not easy to survive in these times, I have to make sure to have a certain income, so I can pay the rent and save up my storage place with food and other articles, just incase the war approach Langdell, and I need to care for myself and others that really need dire help.
My thoughts always wanders to those who probably longs home, and want a peaceful environment, and I hope and pray for brighter days...
Luckily there are still people around the Breelands that bring hope and joy. One cannot survive without hope, and hope is often created by small things as a smile, a hug, good food and music. Is a reminder that this are the things we want, and a reminder that this is worth fighting for...

It is a beautiful Summereve in Bree-Land, and there there will be a Summerball this evening. My dear friend Linrond, that I have known for many years has returned to Bree after being absent for a time because of duties done in foreign lands. He has asked me to join him as company this evening. Of course I accepted since he is a dear friend, but also because Linrond and myself share a painful past, with emotions and despair. This has probably brought us closer and I know Linrond has very high regards for me, as I have for him. Life is short and time is limited for human-kinds, so despite the dark times I have decided to embrace this Summereve with all my heart, with friends, Linrond, dancing and music..
My little troupe 'The Shades' will perform some songs, I will use songs from my songbook that is suitable for cheerful occasions. I went outside my house earlier and rehearsed, it was nice to play the harp by the waterfall in Langdell, a natural accompaniment to my melodies..
I will write more later, now I need to make myself ready to the Ball...

....The Ball was amazing, what can I say...It was nice to meet my dear friends in my troupe, they all seemed happy, ready to enjoy and play our music, Harcrest is not very far from Langdell and the road is not long, so we walked beside our horses, so we could talk and sing, and enjoy the summer evening with its warm breeze.
Lady Fyxe is the one that made this Summerball happen, her house is massive and huge, it probably can room around hundreds of people or so. The garden was beautiful, lots of colorful roses and green plants climbing up the wall next to the entrance.

Inside there were many attenders in their best outfits, some of the Ladies has flowers in their hair, and beautiful dresses. The atmosphere was lovely and the music was  already started. The band ' The chosen few' made sure to bring all the people on the dancefloor. Myself and my troupe had to do small preparations while the first band played, but I could hear the music and it was amazing. Pied Pipers also created a great mood, and their music and coordinated movements brought something special to the event..

Our performances went very well, all my friends were prepared with tuned instruments, and is special to be on stage and have all the attention, then you suddenly forget all the bad things, and is after such joyful occasions that force you to reflect on what you do want to have, and what you really don't want to have.
Next up was Songburrow Strollers a charming people from all the way from Shire, it made me look at them with great fascination, is not often I experience their kinds around my lands..

I met Linrond aswell, and I made him dance with me. I know he does not like it, but I wanted him to dance with me anyhow. I believe it was with an unshared joy he joined me. But he smiled and seemed happy to be with me..
After the music and the dancing we went outside and looked at the fireworks, Linrond took my hand and whispered to me, how beautiful this evening was. We did not say a thing, just watched the fireworks colored the sky with red, blue, purple and green.... A glimpse of happiness and hearts around filled with joy. I wish the night never would end...
