| In this, my hundredth entry of this journal - a journal that has served me since my youngest days, I do recount some extraordinary findings. Today, I dared open the belongings of my father - that which were sealed, and addressed to me by him - long before he departed for accursed Mordor. As I write, I glance into the chest - noting the rolled cloth of a tunic, several small badges of Old, a book of my father's drawings - and a most peculiar article. Wrapped in a silken cloth, I found a tattered piece of a banner. That which my father wore into his final battle. For this chest was once, before now, opened by my mother 'afore she sailed. The banner-piece was old, yet it's colours shone still as if new. Herein, I will provide a detailed drawing of it.
I recall so many fond memories of him. Perhaps...perhaps I should once again honour him as he honoured me, as a child. Shall I take upon myself the Banner of the Galadhrim Forces again? I will speak of it to Malliel, and the Lord and Lady. It is not a light subject... |
