The group made it to Thorehad injured, tired after the battle that happened at the Ford Of Bruinen.
Angmar sent their so called diplomat, "Deglar" with high skilled task force containing angmarians and wargs. Deglar was sent to negotiate with The Hand of Numenor to let go their claims from Annuminas in exchange of Gold and silver. The Hand of Numenor along side their allies, Durin's folks and Blue Mountain Regiment fought for their lives defending themselves from the incoming threat.
The Hand of Númenor is a Gondor/ Dunedain new order. we're acting in behalf of the reunited kingdoms of Gondor & Arnor but, we're an independent organization. Belenir (former captain of Minas Tirith and the Grand Master of the Hand of Númenor) has been tasked by the council of Minas Tirith and the Steward of Gondor to assemble an auxiliary force with the objective of fully securing and capturing the lost city of Annúminas.
