Gilith stood beside Lord Elrond while Thranduil's emissary provided valuable knowledge and news about security in Mirkwood. Silence followed broken only my the sound of a silver waterfall in the background. After a few moments the Lord of Rivendell spoke of the orc threat festering in Dol Guldur. He called upon the Elves realms of Middle-earth to unite. As a Commander of the Order of Lorien, Tin Gilith was entrusted to bring back an important message to Lothlorien. Preparations were now complete, the time had come for the Galadhrim to cross the river Anduin and assail the forces of Dol Guldur and vanquish evil from the old fortress once and for all. Many present arose to speak, emissaries from Lindon, followed with reports from the coast and the Blue Mountains, and the council lasted several hours.

As always duty came first, Gilith had very little time to indulge is the relaxing atmosphere of Rivendell. After the council had ended she went back to her quarters. It was a beautiful room, with a carved bed of pale wood covered with velvet blankets, and four posts that resembled the branches of trees which held up a delicate canopy floating lightly in the breeze from the open window. The room was pristine, soft and silky rungs covered the marble floors, a candelabrum in a corner, and an intricate tapestry on the wall opposite the bed. On the balcony a small table topped with a silver tray adorned with delicate silver teacups and a teapot caved carefully with leaves and flowers. Everything in Rivendell was so perfectly beautiful and indulgent.
Gilith finished her tea, and after securing her bow and quiver to her back leaped over the banister and into the garden below, then run across the perfectly manicured lawn , and made her way to the front of The Last Homely House where Lord Elrond was waiting. Gilith dropped down on one knee and bowed her head.

" It was nice to see you again Commander " Lord Elrond said.
" Likewise my Lord, thank you for your council " Gilith replied.
The great bridge of Rivendell stretched out behind her, and on the other side stood her escort, armed, pack-laden, and mounted. The Lorien warriors kept watching Gilith and Lord Elrond in the distance.
" You must haste, before night end, " Elrond said with a tone of urgency in his voice "'The winds of change are blowing, Gilith, and I fear they carry with them the onset of war. Lothlórien cannot remain isolated and in safety forever. "
One of her warriors came forth holding her horse. Gilith went to it caressing its glossy neck and head. The animal nuzzled into her, and she felt its heavy breath against her chest. Gilith smiled and lifted herself upon the saddle. At a few muttered words, the horse sprang into a swift trot out of the courtyard. She turned on her saddle one last time, there stood Lord Elrond Halfhelven Gilith lifted her hand in salute , galloping towards the Misty Mountains under starlight.
