Captain's Quick Report: Halloween with The White Flames
Shivers of lively spirit still echo throughout this ol' body! How grand, in a most spooky of haunting manners, was the musical concert today by 'The White Flames' just mere hours ago, the band which takes it's name from it's host kinship, the Order of the White Flame.
The songs and music were quite something to dance merrily to, others a solemn sway that brought mists to no doubt a few eyes. From the races of Man, Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits did a good crowd gather in front of the Haunted Burrow to witness this performance, and it was nothing less than another outstanding day and night of entertainment! Or at least... it felt like several days and nights has passed by the time the enchanting atmosphere of music, band, and audience finally broke it's -hauntingly- wonderful spell! Hohoho!
But alas, there is other work to return to, and it still bears upon my soul with great regret that my travels to the Shire were so delayed that I missed the 4th Annual Haunted Burrow Ghostwalk and Tales just hours earlier before the concert. Nonetheless, Master Reader, I'm sure some drawings have already begun to make it's rounds among those whom attended, and perhaps even a poem or two has been recorded onto parchment!
Nevertheless for this early report on behalf of an ol' representative of the Bree Captain's Guild, an outstanding congratulations for events such as these which surely brought a lively spirit today more than ever to this haunted burrow of sorts that keeps bringing visitors from near and far every year. Well done!
It seems the next occasion of public interest is to be the coming Bird and Baby Yard Party event this week where 'goblins' are rumoured to be visiting, and need to be 'kept in check' through clever disguises by attendees planning to risk this danger, and also fireworks and the sort I've heard!!
