Hoho! So this is how things might be in the future, working in a collaborative relationship with those of the Grey Repository, eh? Well it's never too late for a Captain of Bree to amend his mistakes, and surely not for this one! Better to start now, than never, hoho!
But alas, this first entry I must try to stay brief, for the night is late and I only finally came around to these letters, and paperwork, at long last involving the Grey Repository, and my request months ago, to look into a working relationship of sorts with those who maintain it's archives.
But from what good I have heard of these folk who maintain this grand undertaking of archival work, it is an amazing source of history, chronicles, and recordings about this land so many of us inhabit; that countless have shared joys, tears, laughter, dance, song, music, marriage, battles, adventures, and so much more. And ongoing too! So I've been told, which is why I bothered to contact them in the first place!
For you see, Master Reader, I might not have the most grandest of heroic tales or adventures to share, or the most serious of fantastical journeys of dire importance and deeds to save Middle-Earth from some great evil. But, however, I have been blessed with the honor to have been about the land for a good time, as a travelling representative of the Bree Captain's Guild, and through it, have seen many an event come to pass; a tournament in the Bree-land here; a mighty celebration there, involving dwarves and their near-magical skill with the forge in Thorin's Hall; or perhaps one of many a-gathering of good-hearted little folk from over yonder in the Shire, whom have more than once brought the brightest of smiles and cheer to this ol' captain's face.
In taking this step to establish a communication and working relationship with those of the Grey Repository, it is these sort of experiences and history I wish to pass onto the Archives from this humble Captain of Bree's perspective. Though no doubt others are also stoutly recording numerous events and things as they occur in time, perhaps, at the least, the Archives of the Grey Repository will be that little more complete with the accounts I shall hope to successfully share and send forth, on behalf of a travelling representative from the Bree Captain's Guild.
Master Reader, at this time of writing, the lands of Middle-Earth are full of those who have given so much to make this world of ours a lively and wondrous place to live within, despite the shadows and darkness of evil, which never seem to cease their uneasy presence amongst the Free Peoples. But to those whom I write of before, my accounts and chronicles shall most likely tell a supporting tale of the things they do, and have done; the grand celebrations amongst their kind they have hosted, freely inviting other races to attend; or perhaps something less extravagant, but nonetheless cheery and at home in the heart, to cherish and enjoy as a warm story that stays with you past the final chapter.
We cannot know how long each of our time in Middle-Earth shall last, so I hope what additional writings (and the oft painting or drawings if I can help it!) from my person that reaches the Grey Repository Archives, shall be worthwhile and numerous enough to do credit and service to some of the wondrous things taking place in this world; to some of the wondrous individuals and their bands of kin and communities across the land keeping life vibrant for so many of us to enjoy.
For you, Master Reader, far, or near, in the future, these are for you; and so too is it humbly also, for them.

Naismithea Willarc, Watcher of Roads, Representative and Member of the Bree Captain's Guild, Officer of the Sworn Wanderers
