A Penchant for Trouble

Adanmiel rode leisurely back into the Vale as the sun began to set along the horizon.

"Llamreth, thank you for accompanying me, friend," she whispered as she dismounted.  Her steed trotted off to a grassy clearing nearby and began to graze.  Her strength had begun to improve after returning from the long journey they had taken together to Edhellond.  Adanmiel was glad, the journey had been hard on Llamreth.  She removed Llamreth's bridle and headed home.

Since her return to the valley, Adanmiel found solace riding alone in the woods of the Trollshaws for most of what daylight could provide her.  With the disbanding of the Warband, she found herself being drawn back to the woods. The woods were always her home, a quiet peace needed after what had been transpired.  There, she could find clarity in her thoughts.  There, she had always been able find her next path forward.

Disappointment.  Bewilderment.  She still did not make sense of the decision.  Why disband the Warband at a time like this?  No answer was to come at this time.

Adanmiel had not seen much of anyone since the letters had been sent, aside from Lilleduil and Faorie.  The mood was solemn.  However, there was a rising amount of distress over the return of Thendryt that seemed to preoccupy them both.  We must keep an eye on Thendryt, she remembered Lilleduil advising her.  He's made enemies with Vanimar, Faorie had mentioned.

Thendryt Morson?

She knew him little though many in the company held a deep faith and trust for the man.  He had accompanied her briefly on her journey to Angmar, her Neth Megil task, but soon disappeared as they continued on the trail.  She remembered him faintly, a bit dramatic and had a predisposition for trouble.  It was not a surprise to her he may have found himself in such a situation once more.  How uninteresting.  Even stranger that the other elves of Imladris would trouble themselves with him.

Men are often rash.  Emotional.  Arrogant.  The elves should know better.

What a complete waste of everyone's time, Adanmiel thought as she finally arrived home.
